In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month this coming September, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will host ¡Estamos Aqui! on September 16.

The one-day outdoor, family friendly festival will celebrate Hispanic heritage with live music, art, food and more from the afternoon through the evening. The festival aims to celebrate the importance of Latino and Hispanic heritage by inviting the entire Green Bay community to experience a taste of cultures across Latin America.

“The goal of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is to share a little bit of Hispanic culture with Green Bay,” said Paulina Chavira, community engagement and outreach coordinator with The Weidner Center. “Everyone is invited. It’s a family event and we don’t want just the Hispanic community to attend only. We really want to open our doors for everyone who wants to enjoy this event.”

There will be a little bit for everyone at ¡Estamos Aqui! The festival will feature Wisconsin classics, like a beer garden, food trucks, art exhibits, car shows, music and activities for kids.

¡Estamos Aqui! will be held at the UW-Green Bay Campus, 2420 Nicolet Dr, Green Bay, Saturday Sept. 16 from 3:00-10:00 pm. The festival is free for all to attend. A breakdown of each event at ¡Estamos Aqui! can be found on The Weidner’s website.
