Blueprint365 is hiring!

About 365 Media Foundation

365 Media Foundation is the nonprofit organization that own and operates Blueprint365 and Madison365. We exist to tell the stories of Wisconsin’s communities of color and cover the issues important to those communities. We launched Madison365 in 2015 for that purpose. We use excellent professional journalism to start conversations, find real and lasting solutions, build community, invite action and encourage emerging leaders in Wisconsin’s communities of color, and to foster dialog between members of diverse communities. Our journalism has been recognized with national and statewide awards.

About Blueprint365

Blueprint365 is a new kind of digital-first business publication. Leveraging the reputation for excellent journalism we’ve built since launching Madison365, we focus on business, economics and finance in and around communities of color. That means we’re your source for news and information and advice on startups, corporations, executives, trends and more, all from the perspective of people of color and with an eye on diversity, equity and inclusion – all critical to a thriving economy. Learn more here.

The following opportunities are currently available.

Full time business reporters

We are currently recruiting full-time reporters in both Madison and Northeast Wisconsin (Appleton or Green Bay). People of color and recent college graduates are especially encouraged to apply. Community college graduates are welcome.

Business reporting intern

We are currenly recruiting for interns for the Summer of 2023. The internship will involve attendance at weekly intern staff meetings (usually virtually), developing source relationships, pitching story ideas and covering eight to 10 stories over the course of the summer. The intern will also have opportunities to appear on Madison365 podcasts and video shows. The intern will be paid a $500 stipend for the summer, either in the form of direct payment or scholarship paid to your school. Successful interns will have the opportunity to continue internships into the fall semester.

Students of color are especially encouraged to apply. Some reporting experience or class work is necessary, though you don’t have to be published. You will need to provide some writing samples, but those can be reporting class projects.
