Forward Community Investments (FCI) announced Monday the addition of Darrell “DJ” Hines II to its Board of Directors.

Hines currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer for Christian Faith Fellowship Church (CFFC) and Plaza, Wisconsin’s largest predominantly African American church, where he oversees daily operations of CFFC, The Darrell Lynn Hines Academy, Destiny High School, a staff of 50, and a wide range of additional community-focused initiatives. He also serves on the Board of Directors for both Hope Street and Girls On the Run of Southeastern WI.

“We are thrilled to welcome DJ Hines to the FCI Board,” FCI President & CEO Ryan Zerwer said in a statement. “His deep-rooted commitment to Milwaukee, combined with his expertise in community engagement and economic development, will be invaluable as we continue investing in Milwaukee’s neighborhoods.”

Hines is also the founder of DJ Hines Enterprises, a multifaceted business platform encompassing consulting services, real estate investment, media production, and product development.

Hines joins the Board as FCI expands its partnerships “to advance solutions that empower communities to flourish,” according to the press release.
