Advent Nose & Throat to open Madison location

Madan and Gwen Kandula

Advent, one of the nation’s premiere nose and throat treatment centers, will open its newest location in Madison this October. The new ear, nose, throat (ENT) clinic, in Madison will be the company’s 27th location. Madan and Gwen Kandula founded the clinic in 2004 in Milwaukee. Advent treats several ENT related conditions and pioneered the Balloon Sinuplasty treatment — a minimally invasive procedure that treats medicine-resistant sinus infections. Now, it celebrates its 20th anniversary at its new location in Madison.

“I see so many patients who are frustrated with the ineffective treatments they have been provided by big healthcare systems,” Madan said. “The cycle stops here. We understand. We listen. We change lives. In turn we flip the script on how medical practices operate on a national level and are thrilled to be bringing the most advanced and unintrusive, in-office treatments for nose and throat issues to Madison’s patients in need.”

Advent currently has clinics in six states across the United States. The new clinic in Madison will mark its eighth in its home state and first in the city.

The number of ENT practices has declined in the country between 2014-2021. Most recent figures from National Library of Medicine have shown a drop from 3,584 to 3,152. Practitioners, on the other hand, have jumped up from 7,763 to 9,150. Wisconsin alone has 321 of the nation’s practitioners, according to US News Health

Advent’s new opening will pair with its Breathing Triangle Screenings where attendees can speak with its experts to find solutions to their respective sinus and sleep issues.

A ribbon cutting will take place on Oct. 22 at 4781 Hayes Rd. Ste 101 starting at 4:30 p.m. No RSVP is required to attend and walk-ins are encouraged.
