Altus names operations leaders

Madison-based healthcare technology company Altus Inc announced in a press release Friday that Justin Hajny, a 15-year startup expert, recently joined as Chief Operating Officer and that Giovanni Alemán Sotelo will take the role of Director of Operations. 

Hajny, a 2010 MBA graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Madison, brings executive leadership and consulting success in finance and marketing services for early-stage startups, including Nobbits USA. 

“Altus, Inc. will thrive with Justin’s expert guidance as our company grows exponentially in the next few years, particularly with our portfolio of companies in our venture studio,” founder and CEO Daniel Guerra, Jr. said in a statement.

In addition to his COO role, Hajny is Co-Managing Director of the Altus BIPOC Entrepreneur Initiative, including the MBCC Means Business incubator and optimization program with the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce. 

Giovanni Alemán Sotelo has worked as Finance Operations Associate at the Center for Community Stewardship. He started GA Business Solutions, a video campaign service that helps companies elevate their brand presence. He also worked as an accountant for personal clients and businesses in tax preparation after earning an associate degree in accounting from Madison College. More recently, he has worked with the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce Means Business Program, a partner of Altus, Inc., in helping local business owners make informed decisions that positively impact their future.
