The Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC), in collaboration with the Grateful Nation Project, New North, Fox Cities Chamber, Appleton Downtown Inc., and the Fox Valley Veterans Council, today introduced “Memorial Day on Main,” a month-long program designed to refocus public attention on what it calls “the purpose of Memorial Day: honoring the brave men and women who died serving our nation.”

In a press release Tuesday, WVCC leadership said businesses have a significant role to play in shaping their communities. Throughout the month of May, which also coincides with Military Appreciation Month, local businesses are invited to join “Memorial Day on Main.” Participating businesses will receive a special kit containing:

● A commemorative poster signifying their support for the initiative.
● A donation of Hero Cards for a local classroom, featuring the business’s logo.
● A listing on the dedicated “Memorial Day on Main” webpage.

“By displaying these materials with pride and bringing Hero Cards into classrooms, businesses become pillars of honor and remembrance, prompting everyone to reflect on the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes,” the press release said.

“Memorial Day on Main” offers various sponsorship levels, allowing businesses of all sizes to contribute. Sponsorships range from $100 to $15,000. Businesses committed to making a difference and honoring our fallen heroes are encouraged to visit the “Memorial Day on Main” webpage at this link.
