Custom apparel and merchandise company Reyes Retail of Sheboygan Falls has acquired Plymouth A&B Embroidery, the company announced in a press release Tuesday.

The purchase, which closed on November 15 includes five speciality Tajima embroidery machines. The in-house equipment will streamline the business and services with capabilities of outputting up to 1,000 units per week, according to the release, increasing the company’s construction capacity by 50 percent.

A&B Embroidery was founded in 1995 and has held two locations in Sheboygan County – W5925 Sartori Lane in Plymouth and 1229 Erie Avenue in Sheboygan. A&B Embroidery was a local provider of custom embroidery and uniforms for the past 28 years. A&B Embroidery co-founder Brandon Simenz will continue to operate these machines and become the production manager of Reyes Retail. Reyes and Simenz have collaborated and worked together on various projects for the past 15 years.

“The team of specialists at Reyes Retail strives to provide high-quality services for all clients. With Simenz on the team we now have a master embroiderer and specialty equipment under our roof,” owner and CEO Josue Reyes said in a statement.

Reyes noted that it takes years to understand the artisan procedures and techniques that go into producing exceptional embroidery.

“This is a win-win business decision,” Simenz said in a statement. “With decades of embroidery work under my belt I look forward to joining a team of retail specialists and to applying my talents on an expanded suite of brands and product lines including Peter Millar, Lululemon, GFORE, New Era, Johnnie-O, Straight Down, and many others gifts and accessory vendors.

The Reyes Retail business is a collaborative effort of local and regional partners to provide specialty service and products to local, regional and national clients and customers.

“Bringing Simenz on board as a team member adds more than two decades of experience and knowledge to the already tenured team,” Reyes said in a statement. “One team, one entity.”

Reyes Retail anticipates a busy holiday gifting season as the team is already fulfilling personal and corporate orders for associates and clients.
