Madison School and Community Recreation (MSCR) announced Monday that it has named Fred Martinez the new Recreation Specialist for Secondary Afterschool Programs.
Martinez has been the MSCR & Urban League of Greater Madison Site Director at Akira Toki Middle School for more than three years. He previously worked for MSCR as an assistant director for Elementary Afterschool, SREC and MSCR Cares.
In his new role, he will supervise the west side middle school afterschool programs, coordinate summer camps and provide additional support to team initiatives.
A Beloit native, Martinez has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
