The Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP) announced in a press release Monday the resignation of its President and CEO, Jason Fields, effective December 1, 2024.
Fields has been with MadREP for four years. Under Fields’ leadership, MadREP has expanded its partner base, supported regional businesses through multiple programs during the pandemic, and most importantly developed a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), a designation from the US Economic Development Administration that positions MadREP to secure additional resources to further its mission, according to the release.
“It has been an honor to serve as the President and CEO of MadREP,” Fields said in a statement. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and am confident that the organization will continue to thrive and make a positive impact on our community.”
The board Executive Committee will appoint Everett Butzine, now MadREP’s Vice President of Economic Development, to the role of Interim President.
“We are grateful for Jason Fields’ dedication and leadership over the past four years,” Board Chair Peter Tan said in a statement. “We wish Jason all the best in his future endeavors and are committed to making sure the next phase of leadership drives our mission forward.”
